{"id":2541,"date":"2022-09-15T21:58:20","date_gmt":"2022-09-15T21:58:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/salarydistribution.com\/machine-learning\/2022\/09\/15\/meet-the-omnivore-christopher-scott-constructs-architectural-designs-virtual-environments-with-nvidia-omniverse\/"},"modified":"2022-09-15T21:58:20","modified_gmt":"2022-09-15T21:58:20","slug":"meet-the-omnivore-christopher-scott-constructs-architectural-designs-virtual-environments-with-nvidia-omniverse","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/salarydistribution.com\/machine-learning\/2022\/09\/15\/meet-the-omnivore-christopher-scott-constructs-architectural-designs-virtual-environments-with-nvidia-omniverse\/","title":{"rendered":"Meet the Omnivore: Christopher Scott Constructs Architectural Designs, Virtual Environments With NVIDIA Omniverse"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-url=\"https:\/\/blogs.nvidia.com\/blog\/2022\/09\/15\/christopher-scott-omniverse-creator\/\" data-title=\"Meet the Omnivore: Christopher Scott Constructs Architectural Designs, Virtual Environments With NVIDIA Omniverse\" data-hashtags=\"\">\n<p><i>Editor\u2019s note: This post is a part of our <\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.nvidia.com\/blog\/tag\/meet-the-omnivore\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i>Meet the Omnivore<\/i><\/a><i> series, which features individual creators and developers who use <\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nvidia.com\/en-us\/omniverse\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i>NVIDIA Omniverse<\/i><\/a><i> to accelerate their 3D workflows and create virtual worlds.<\/i><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_59590\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-59590\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\">\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.nvidia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/chris_Headshot-150x150.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-59590\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Christopher Scott<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Growing up in a military family, Christopher Scott moved more than 30 times, which instilled in him \u201cthe ability to be comfortable with, and even motivated by, new environments,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Today, the environments he explores \u2014 and creates \u2014 are virtual ones.<\/p>\n<p>As chief technical director for 3D design and visualization services at <a href=\"https:\/\/infinite-compute.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Infinite-Compute<\/a>, Scott creates physically accurate virtual environments using familiar architectural products in conjunction with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nvidia.com\/en-us\/omniverse\/enterprise\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NVIDIA Omniverse Enterprise<\/a>, a platform for connecting and building custom 3D pipelines.<\/p>\n<p>With a background in leading cutting-edge engineering projects for the U.S. Department of Defense, Scott now creates virtual environments focused on building renovation and visualization for the architecture, engineering, construction and operations (AECO) industry.<\/p>\n<p>These true-to-reality virtual environments \u2014 whether of electrical rooms, manufacturing factories, or modern home designs \u2014 enable quick, efficient design of products, processes and facilities before bringing them to life in the real world.<\/p>\n<p>They also help companies across AECO and other industries save money, speed project completion and make designs interactive for customers \u2014 as will be highlighted at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nvidia.com\/gtc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NVIDIA GTC<\/a>, a global conference on AI and the metaverse, running online Sept. 19-22.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPhysically accurate virtual environments help us deliver client projects faster, while maintaining a high level of quality and performance consistency,\u201d said Scott, who\u2019s now based in Austin, Texas. \u201cThe key value we offer clients is the ability to make better decisions with confidence.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.nvidia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/christopher-scott-factory-672x378.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"672\" height=\"378\"><\/p>\n<p>To construct his visualizations, Scott uses <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nvidia.com\/en-us\/omniverse\/apps\/create\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Omniverse Create<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nvidia.com\/en-us\/omniverse\/#apps-connectors\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Omniverse Connectors<\/a> for several third-party applications: Trimble SketchUp for 3D models for drawing and design;
