The flagship vehicle is redesigned from tip to tail \u2014 with a new powertrain, branding and software-defined AI compute \u2014 powered by the centralized <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nvidia.com\/en-us\/self-driving-cars\/drive-platform\/hardware\/\">NVIDIA DRIVE Orin<\/a> platform.<\/p>\n<p>The Volvo EX90 silhouette is in line with Volvo Cars\u2019 design principle of form following function \u2014 and looks good at the same time.<\/p>\n<p>Under the hood, it\u2019s filled with cutting-edge technology for new advances in electrification, connectivity, core computing, safety and infotainment. The EX90 is the first Volvo car that is hardware-ready to deliver unsupervised autonomous driving.<\/p>\n<p>These features come together to deliver an SUV that cements Volvo Cars in the next generation of software-defined vehicles.<\/p>\n<h2><b>Computer on Wheels<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>The Volvo EX90 looks smart and has the brains to back it up.<\/p>\n<p>Volvo Cars\u2019 proprietary software runs on NVIDIA DRIVE Orin to operate most of the core functions inside the car, including safety, infotainment and battery management. This intelligent architecture is designed to deliver a highly responsive and enjoyable experience for every passenger in the car.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.nvidia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/07_EX90_INTERIOR_DASHBOARD_FRONT_VIEW-667x500.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"667\" height=\"500\"><\/p>\n<p>The DRIVE Orin system-on-a-chip delivers 254 trillion operations per second \u2014 ample compute headroom for a software-defined architecture. It\u2019s designed to handle the large number of applications and deep neural networks needed to achieve systematic safety standards such as ISO 26262 ASIL-D.<\/p>\n<p>The Volvo EX90 isn\u2019t just a new car.
